Incentivizing Efficient Equilibria in Traffic Networks With Mixed Autonomy

چکیده
Traffic congestion has large economic and social costs. The introduction of autonomous vehicles can potentially reduce this by increasing road capacity via vehicle platooning creating an avenue for influencing people's choice routes. We consider a network parallel roads with two modes transportation: 1) human drivers, who will choose the quickest route available to them, 2) ride hailing service, which provides array options, each different prices, users. formalize model flow in mixed autonomy how service users make choices between routes prices latencies. Developing algorithm learn preferences users, we formulate planning optimization that chooses maximize objective. demonstrate benefit proposed scheme comparing results theoretical benchmarks that, show, be efficiently calculated.

Efficient Mixed Clubs: Nonlinear-Pricing Equilibria with Entrepreneurial Managers∗
Scotchmer and Wooders (1987) show that efficient clubs are homogeneous when consumers are divisible in Berglas’s (1976) anonymous crowding model. However, if consumers are not divisible or if clubs have multiple facilities with economies of scope, mixed clubs are efficient. In such a model, we consider clubs with multiple membership policies for different types of consumers, and show the existe...

Incentivizing Resilience in Financial Networks
When banks extend loans to each other, they generate a negative externality in the form of systemic risk. They create a network of interbank exposures by which they expose other banks to potential insolvency cascades. In this paper, we show how a regulator can use information about the financial network to devise a transactionspecific tax based on a network centrality measure that captures syst...
متن کاملExistence of optima and equilibria for traffic flow on networks
This paper is concerned with a conservation law model of traffic flow on a network of roads, where each driver chooses his own departure time in order to minimize the sum of a departure cost and an arrival cost. The model includes various groups of drivers, with different origins and destinations and having different cost functions. Under a natural set of assumptions, two main results are prove...
متن کاملAchievability of Efficient Satisfaction Equilibria in Self-Configuring Networks
In this paper, a behavioral rule that allows radio devices to achieve an efficient satisfaction equilibrium (ESE) in fully decentralized self-configuring networks (DSCNs) is presented. The relevance of ESE in the context of DSCNs is that at such state, radio devices adopt a transmission/receive configuration such that they are able to simultaneously satisfy their individual quality-of-service (...
